Do You Want Googles New Netbook?
Well before wasting your time reading this you must be 18 or older to acquire the possibly amazing piece of hardware. This hardware is a netbook made by Google and supported by Verizon wireless 3G. Many have speculated that because Google is making it, it will be a very good and reliable piece of hardware. To sign up to receive and test one out go here, https://services.google.com/fb/forms/cr48advanced/. Good luck!

The Problem with Android OS
As you go through my blog you will see that i really like android and the phones that it supports. I really do prefer this OS to any other but it does have one major flaw. This flaw consists of the complicated way they update the OS. Because they have such a wide array of phones that use their OS they have to have specific versions for each phone and THAT is regulated by the phone company. So in reality it isn’t necessarily Google’s fault. For example, when Google came out with Android 2.2 Frodo they released it in May of 2010, but very good capable phones made from HTC, such as the Droid Incredible, did not receive the official update until August 2010. Nearly 3 months after it was released. I see how this could irritate and annoy so many people. Of course though to most problems there is a solution. The solution to this problem is the fact that so many people are starting to modify their phones to update early. This is possible because if one phone has it then developers and adults that live in their mom’s basement can alter the software to be able to be used on any specific phone. Not only that but some have found out how to use other phones software on theirs to use specific capabilities. The only problems with this are some companies are now making it policy that if you do this it could void your contract and/or warranty. Now that the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS has come out more and more people are considering modifying/rooting to be the first ones to have the new software on their select phones that may not receive for months to come.
New Spice on Your Droid Incedible
Is your Incredible becoming more and more boring? Well, mine isn’t but i would like to add some spice or color. There are many options for cases and covers but I find that too bulky and flashy. Well, HTC has come out with some better options for your phone. They have started selling red and white back door battery covers. So your phone can be a different color without having to add bulk but it is a little flashy for the good part. The price would be $24.99 from Verizon or $19.99 from the HTC website. I have found a better place to purchase it for $11.68 with shipping at http://www.thecellguru.com/Products/26580. Go get you colored back and enjoy it for much cheaper!

Can You Get Free Android Apps?
I have been trying to figure this out for sometime but I have found it not as nearly as easy as the iPhone and other IOS devices. But I have came up with a solution so don’t worry about having to pay for apps. This might be a little sketchy but to me it worth not having to shell out hundreds paying for what my phone, that I PAYED for, is capable of. The good thing about android is that it is open source and you can download anything you want and no one can stop you. So if you go to websites like 4Shared.com and search for an app you want you a very likely to find it. All you have to do is wait approximately 25 seconds and you can download the app. Then the phone will ask you if it can install app of unknown source that is when you can select yes and install it and job is complete. Pricing on Smartphones
As I was going through a widely known tech blog I found that there was a popular new phone available for very cheap at other retailers. According to http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/05/droid-pro-dropped-to-50-on-contract-by-best-buy-mobile/ the Motorola droid pro is available for $50 and $20 at Bestbuy and Amazon respectively. Then I began to wonder because this phone just came out a couple of weeks ago so how could the price decline so quickly. But then I realized why it was cheaper, because for Amazon and Bestbuy you must sign a separate contract from Verizon and from either retailer so if you break that contract you could be paying up to $600. Is it worth it? To me as long as you intend to not break any of the rules I think it is a very good deal that needs to be taken advantage of. I myself have bought a very cheap phone from Wirefly and it worked out perfectly. So if you are looking for a new phone this might be a very good opportunity.

Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Tab
As the Samsung Galaxy Tab hits 1 million units sold I began to wonder if I ever wanted one of these joyful gadgets which one would be best so I hit the internet to find out. So after I was done researching I found many differences that could sway my decision. As I was researching on PCWorld I came across this chart that provided basically everything I need to know.
I was reading and everything was basically the same in the beginning except that the tab was much smaller which makes it more practical and easier to use than holding an 11 inch product in your hand. On the other hand the iPad has a 64GB option for internal memory and the highest the tab has in 32GB. Now down to important specifics where the Samsung Galaxy Tab takes over. It has 512MB of ram compared to the iPad's 256MB and the iPad has no multitasking until you upgrade to 4.1 and the galaxy tab is born with it. To me the iPad is just an oversized iPod touch that can’t really do anything. It doesn’t have Adobe Flash Support, a Phone, or any cameras. The galaxy tab prevails in each of those categories with having Adobe Flash Support and having a speaker phone that can be connected with a phone through Bluetooth, and of course one of the most important parts it has 2 cameras. Not just one camera TWO cameras, one on the front with 1.3 megapixels and a better one on the back of 3.2 megapixels. After reviewing all this I would have to choose the most capable device to be able to do as much as I can such as Skyping and watching embedded videos on the internet. That means that the galaxy tab wins against the "Amazing iPad." Oh I think I forgot to mention that they are the same prices and obviously you get more for your money on the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Tiered Plans for Verizon Not Attractive?
Verizon has announced that they will setup and supply a 4G network. It has been named 4G LTE. As Verizon being one of the last networks allowing unlimited data, they have changed they're mind with their 4G and making it $50 for 5GB of data and $10 for every extra GB used. Now after i learned al this i had to ask my self is it worth it to drop unlimited 3G for limited more expensive 4G. I think it is pointless because it will only speed up our phones a bit more and for the high usage people they will have to constantly worry about going over. And those that want to upgrade because they use their phones as a modem they can just buy a 4G LTE modem and that way they can keep their phone and internet data separate.
